Rain on Thursday forced a Friday night double header against the visiting Lethbridge Bulls. Game one saw the Bulls win 3-1. Regina couldn’t get any offense going against Bulls starter Dillon Alcouffe. The Sox could had 3 hits during the game.
Regina starter Oliver Barcal took the loss for the Sox despite having decent numbers. Barkal pitched 3 innings giving up just 2 hits but allowed 3 runs all of which were earned.
Game 2 of the double header started under sunny skies after 2 days of bad weather. The cool icy north wind continued unfortunately. The cool weather matched the cool bats of the Sox as they only mustered 6 hits.
Jalen Meyers and Angelo Franco had 2 hits each for Regina. Both players had 1 RBI. Singles game from Glen Noronha and Silas Butler. Lethbridge middle inning pitcher Riley Bruton picked up the win for the Bulls. Jack Kalisky earned the save as Regina rallied to make the score 4-3 in the bottom of the 7th but couldn’t drive in the tying run. Sox starter Holden Hungerford was tagged with the loss allowing 7 hits and 3 runs, 2 of which were earned.
