After struggling to get hits Friday night the Sox bats came alive in Swift Current tonight. The Sox scored 19 runs on 13 hits. Jackson Syring got things rolling early with a two-run homerun in the 2nd inning to get the Sox in the lead early. The Sox also had a solo homerun by Matthew Fox and a big blast (Grand slam) from Kody Hanna. The Sox move to 4 wins and 2 losses on the season.
Colton Anderson picked up his 2nd win of the season in as many starts pitching 6 strong innings of 7 hit baseball. Former Sox pitcher Klevert Martina was tagged with the loss. Anderson allowed 1 earned run and struck out 9 Swift Current batters along the way. The bullpen was solid with Brendan Gutierrez and Vittorio Iacobucci combining to pitch the last 3 innings and didn’t allow a hit collectively.
