The Sox improved their record to 11-5 this evening with a remarkable late game surge that saw them score 7 runs in the 8th inning and break a 2-2 tie game!

953 fans were treated to some fantastic pitching for the first 7 innings of the ball game tonight. Two hard throwing left-handed pitchers dueled it out tonight. Regina starter Colton Anderson pitched 7 innings and allowed 2 runs (both earned) on 7 hits and struck out 6 batters. Medicine Hat countered with Chris Shaffer who pitched 6 innings and allowed 2 runs on 5 hits and struck out 6 Sox hitters.

Nicolas |Yard pitched the 8th and 9th innings and earned the win tonight. Nick allowed 0 hits and retired all 6 Mavericks batters.

The Sox got some great offensive production from Jalen Meyers (3 for 4, 1 HR and 1 RBI) Jalen’s leadoff homerun in the 6th lead to the Sox tying the game at 2-2. Jackson Syring was 3 for 5. Kody Hanna, Silas Butler each had 2 hits.

The Sox hit the road Saturday and Sunday when they play the Sylvan Lake Gulls. Game times are Saturday at 7:00 and Sunday at 2:00 PM.
