It was a beautiful evening for baseball at Currie Field and the Red Sox fans witnessed another comeback victory from the Queen City kids.
The first 3 innings were played scoreless before Medicine Hat scored 1 run in the top of the 4th inning. Both teams scored 2 runs each in the 5th inning. With the Sox trailing 3-2 heading into the 6th inning the Mavs were leading 4-2 before Regina scored 4 runs in their half of the 6th to take the lead 6-4. The final 3 innings were played scoreless.
Regina only required 2 pitchers to get through the game. Starter Syden Page pitched 6 innings allowing 4 runs on 5 hits (1 HR). Sox starter turned reliever Colton Anderson pitched 3 scoreless innings allowing 2 hits and struck out 4 batters.
Kody Hanna (Player of the game) was 2 for 4 with 3 runs batted in. Honorable mention to Colton Anderson who could have also been name player of the game. Jackson Romero went 2 for 4 and Glen Noronha was 3 for 4 .
The Sox travel to Swift Current Friday night and 6 Sox players will play in the All-Star Game Saturday evening before the team wraps up the weekend in Moose Jaw Sunday night at 7:00 PM
