The Sox got a monkey off their back last night with a dramatic extra inning victory at home. Extra inning play has not been kind to the Red Sox this year having gone 0-3 in extra’s. Last night proved different has Pilot Butte native Kendall Keller hit a bases loaded single to score Nate Bach. In extra innings the game is started with runners one 1B and 2nd base. See how the inning played out below.
Jonathon Henry from Whitby Ont. has another strong start on the mound for the Sox pitching 8 innings of 4 hit baseball. Jon allowed 3 runs on 4 walks and 5 strike outs. Jon gave way to Levent Eldem who got into trouble and failed to record an out. Kade Douglas entered the game and limited the damage and pitched 2 innings allowing 0 hits and 1 unearned run. Regina’s Zanger Oudie-Senger pitched the 11 th inning allowing 1run on 1 hit and truck out 1 Swift Current batter. Zanger picked up the win.
Offensively the Sox were led by DH Mike Kenney (3 for 4 2 RBI) Kenney is from Chandler AZ and attends Scottsdale CC. Mike leads the team with a .378 batting average.
The Sox continue their home stand tonight hosting the Moose Jaw Miller Express 7 PM start.
