The Sox used multiple home runs to propel them to victory Tuesday Night!

The tone was set in the first inning last night when Jackson Syring (.424 7th HR of the season. player of the game), launched a towering home run over the trees behind the left field wall for a Sox 1 run lead. Jackson wasn’t satisfied so he hit a 2nd 2 run shot and chipped in with a double after the MJ right fielder couldn’t pick up the ball in the lights.

Other Sox players who hit home runs. Brady Bye (1 for 5 with a 3 run HR), his first HR of the season. Justin Carinci was (1 for 6 with a solo home run), Danny Gonzalez hit his first HR of the season going (2 for 4 with a HR), and Kody Hanna hit his 4th HR of the season (2 for 5 with 2 RBI)

Jackson Romero was on the ball all night going 3 for 4 and played a great game at SS. The Sox had 16 hits on the evening.

Matthew Fox started the game pitching and worked 5.2 innings before needing returning player Kade Douglas to get him out of a bases loaded 2 out jam to end the 5th inning. Kade Douglas joined the Sox that morning having played the season in Victoria for the Harbour Cats. This will be Kade’s 3rd stint with the Sox.

Jackson Syring pitched the 9th inning. The power hitting CF surprised most Regina fans with his appearance and struck out two Moose Jaw batters on high velocity fastballs.  The Sox improved their record to 27-13 on the season. They travel to Swift Current in Wednesday night where they hope to avenge Sunday’s loss in Swift Current.
