The Sox improved to 2-1 after a 5 inning rain shortened game. The torrential rain started around 8:30 and continued until 9:00 PM. Trevor Crawford from Shepard Michigan collected his first win of the season. Trevor in his 2nd season with the Sox pitched 5 innings allowing 5 hits and 3 runs. Crawford allowed 3 runs and struck out 6 Swift Current 57’s batters. Trevor earned himself the Player of the game award. The Sox trailed 3-0 heading into the bottom of the 4th inning and exploded for 4 runs to take the lead. The Sox got RBI’s from Greyson Shafer, Camden Colman and Dylan Edmands in the 4th inning and secured the win.
The Sox opened the season with 9-1 win over Weyburn Beavers Wednesday night and lost 8-1 Thursday night in Swift Current Friday night.
