The Sox resumed the Trans Canada Clash Tuesday night in Moose Jaw. With the loss last night the Sox now trail the Express 3-0. The Sox remain in 3rd place in the East Division with a 9-11 record and are 5-5 in their last 10 games.
The game was tied after the 2nd inning and the Sox scored runs in the top of the 5th and 8th to take a 3-1 lead. Moose Jaw replied with a big 3 run inning in the bottom of the 8th to go up 4-3 and that ended up the final score. Braden Houston had another outstanding start pitching 6 innings allowing 9 hits but only 1 earned run. He struck out 10 Express hitters. Zane Pollon and Kade Douglas worked the 8th and 9th innings. Kade was tagged with the loss.
Offensively Regina had 6 batters with 1 hit nights for a combined 6 hit night. Mike Kenney and Michael Zinter each had 1 RBI.
Next game is Wednesday night when the Sox host Weyburn Beavers.
