The Sox rolled into Ross Wells park Saturday night and dropped their 5th game against Moose Jaw Millers 10-7. The Sox now trail the Express 5-1 in the Trans Canada Clash! The two teams play each other 10 times over the course of the season and the Sox are now clearly on the ropes in the inaugural Clash!
Moose Jaw led the game 8-1 after 5 innings before Regina made some noise scoring 3 in the 6th, 1 in the 7th and 2 runs in the 8th inning to make the game interesting. Levent Eldem took the loss in his first start of the season. The native of Ocala Florida who has family ties to Saskatoon pitched 4 innings allowing 5 hits, 6 runs(all earned) and struck out 2 batters. The freshman from Coastal Alabama has been pitching out of the bull pen up until last night.
Offensively the Sox got run production from Dylan Edmands from Regina who hit a 3 run homerun in the top of the 6th inning (his 2nd of the year) . Honorably mention to Zane Zielinski and Kendall Keller who both had 2 hit nights.
