Last night’s game went back and forth all night and finally ended in the top of the 9th inning with the Sox having what would have been the tying run thrown out at the plate. Nearly 900 fans were on the edge of their seats as they waited for the umpires call which went the Millers way.
The Sox were out hit 18-12 in this game. Jackson Syring (.411 avg) once again earned the player of the game honor going 3 for 4 with 3 RBI and a run scored. Kody Hanna (.426 avg) was 2 for 4 and Silas Butler (.327) was 2 for 5.
Regina defensively had an off-night committing an unusual 3 errors which contributed to Moose Jaw extending a few innings and scoring runs.
Daniel Crabtree started for the Redsox and gave up 6 runs on 11 hits. Daniels record dropped to 2 and 1 on 6 starts. Newcomer Ayden Page made his first appearance pitching 3 innings giving up 5 hits and allowed 2 runs. Ayden showed his potential as he needed to shack off some rust after a break from the college season. Closer Tyler Fortin pitched the 9th allowing 2 hits and 1 run.
