Regina rolled into Saskatoon after losing the day before in Regina and took game #1 6-4. Matthew Fox earned his first win on the season in his 4th appearance and 2nd start of the year. The versatile shortstop/pitcher pitched 5 innings allowing 8 hits and gave up 4 runs striking out 4 Berrie’s batters. Vittorio Iacobucci and Tyler Fortin pitched an inning each in the 7-inning game. They combined to allow 1 hit and struck out 4 batters collectively.
Shortstop Jackson Romero had 2 hits and 1 RBI. Justin Carinci, Silas Butler, Kody Hanna Daniel Gonzalez, Jackson Alaniz and Brady Bye all chipped in for 1with 1 hit each. Regina committed 0 errors defensively.
