The Red Sox travelled down highway 1 Friday night for their 6th meeting of the young season in Swift Current against the 57’s. The Sox almost surrendered a 4 run lead and hung on for a 7-6 victory! Bryan Sanchez pitched 6 1/3 innings allowing 3 runs. He got help from the bullpen from Wilcox Sk. native Zane Pollon in the 7th inning (Credited as the winning pitcher) Allen Yen in the 8th and Kade Douglas pitched the bottom of the 9th and was credited with the save!
Offensively the Sox were lead Kirsten Vasquez with two hits, Kendall Keller with 1 hit and 1 RBI and Cade Nelson with 2 hits and 2 RBI. The Red Sox stranded 10 runners on base. The Red Sox are back on the field tomorrow at 12:00 noon ahead of the Saskatchewan Rougher Rider 5:00 PM football game on Super Sports Saturday!
