The Sox and Mavericks played a 2-game series this weekend at Currie Field, and it was a case of these games being flipped the way the games happened to go for each team.
In the Saturday night game, the Sox jumped on the back of Sox starter Daniel Crabtree who pitched a complete game shutout allowing 5 hits while striking out 3 batters. In the game Sunday the tables turned as Mavericks starter Dylan Runge allowed just 3 hits over 6 innings and allowed 1 run. The Sox scored 3 runs on hits the last 3 innings. Mathew Fox started for Regina on Sunday and took the loss.
Mathew started the game Saturday at SS and had a nice game going 3 for 4 driving in 1 run. Game 2 only saw the Sox muster 7 hits and scored 4 runs late un the game. The Sox have Monday of before playing Weyburn Tuesday and return to Currie Field for Games Wednesday (Moose Jaw) and Thursday (Swift Current)
