The Sox rolled into Sylvan Lake like the thunder threatening the skies!

The Sox new name may be the “Queen City comeback kids” after another late inning come from behind win tonight. Regina trailed the Gulls 3-1 after 2 innings and came alive in the 8th inning scoring 4 runs and added 2 runs in the 9th to win 7-4.

Silas Butler led the way offensively going 3 for 5 with 3 RBI and was named the Player of the Game for the Sox. Silas moved his season long batting average to .339 and has 12 RBI on the season.  Kody Hanna (.404 Avg) was the other Sox player with a multiple hit night going 2 for 4. Jackson Syring was 1 for 5 for Regina with 1 RBI and lead the team with a .418 batting average.

 

Daniel Crabtree (1-0 in 4 appearances 3.96 era) started the game and pitched 6 innings and allowed 4 runs (1 earned) on 6 hits. It was a no decision for Crabtree. Recently added Garrett Klein pitched for his second time and went 2 innings allowing 0 hits and struck out 1 batter and earned the win. Tyler Fortin made his 6th appearance (5.22 era) and earned the save pitching the 9th. Tyler allowed 1 hit and struck out 2 batters.
