The Sox got another stellar start by Braden Houston last night. The redshirt junior from Lenoire Rhyne University who hails from Iowa City IA pitched 7 innings of 7 hit baseball allowing 1 earned run . Braden struck out 3 Dawgs hitters and allowed 1 walk. Kade Douglas came in and pitched the 8th and then started the 9th for the Sox. Kade allowed 3 hits before surrendering the ball. Starter Andy Cook mad the final two outs. Andy , a starter pitched the 2 outs on his bullpen day and allowed 1 hit earning his 1st save of the year!
The Sox were led offensively by Chicago native Zane Zieinski who was 1 for 3 and delivered a big 2 run hit for the Sox when they needed it. Regina product Kendall Keller was 1 for 4 with a RBI, Max Lecroy from Asheville NC had a 2 hit night and Chase Taylor and Travis Johnson each chipped in for a single.
