Regina starter Brendon Gutierez (Player of the game), appearing in his 11th game improved his record to 3-1 with a 3.40 era. Gutierez started the season in the bullpen and has now turned in some great starting appearances. Last night was no exception. He pitched 6 innings allowing 2 runs on 1 hit. The only hit of the game was in the first inning after giving up a walk, he surrendered a 2-run homerun to Millers Austin Gurney who hit it out in right center field. After the first inning Brandon pitched 5 flawless no-hit innings.
Colton Anderson (2.92 era) worked out of the pen as he has been starting lately and pitched 2 strong innings allowing 1 run on 2 hits and closer Tyler Fortin (4.86 era) pitched a 1hit 9th inning.
