The Sox won the 8-game series with Moose Jaw last night with an 11-7 victory. Last night’s win gave Regina a 5-2 lead with one remaining game in Moose Jaw July 30th.
The Saturday night game was enjoyed by close to 900 fans at Currie Field. It saw the Queen City kids get behind early in the game when Moose Jaw scored 4 runs in the top of the 3rd. Regina responded with 3 runs in their half of the inning. Moose Jaw continued to add to the lead with 1 in the 4th and 2 in the 5th inning. Regina trailed 7-5 after 5 innings but once again struck with a huge 6th inning scoring 6 runs to take an 11-7 lead which became the final score.
Regina had 11 hits on the night. Jalen Meyers, Brady Bye and Silas Butler had 2 hits each on the night. Brady Bye was named player of the game hitting a bases loaded double to left field driving in 3 runs.
Garret Klein started the game and pitched 4.1 innings allowing 7 runs on 10 hits. Ayden Page earned the win pitching 2.2 innings allowing 0 runs on 3 hits and Zander Oudie-Senger pitched a solid 8th and 9th inning allowing 0 runs on 0 hits.
