Fo the 2nd night in the row the Sox overcame an early deficit to win the ball game.
Swift Current 57’s jumped out to an early lead in this game scoring 3 runs in the 3rd inning. Both teams exchanged runs in the 5th inning. Swift Current lead 5-1 after 6 innings before the Regina bats got going. Regina scored 1 run in the 7th inning before breaking out with a 4-run 8th inning and added on 1 run in the 9th inning.

The 8th inning started with 1 out and Jackson Romero doubling to left field. A Kody Hanna base on balls and a Jackson Alaniz walk set the table. Diego Aragon walked, and Swift Current made 2 errors before Glenn Noronha singled up the middle. Regina had 10 hits on the game. Jackson Romero was 3 for 5, Daniel Gonzalez 2 for 5 and Diego Aragon 2 for 4 with 2 RBI.

Regina product Jesse Lubiniecki was recently added to the roster and earned the win in his first appearance of the season pitching the 7th inning of the game. Jesse allowed 0 hits and SO 1 batter. Starter Garrett Klein pitched 4.1 innings and allowed 4 runs on 5 hits. Josh Castillo pitched the 8th and Tyler Fortin shut it down in the 9th inning.

The Sox improve their record to 30-13 on the season and lead the east Division. Next game for the Sox is Sunday at 7:00 PM in Moose Jaw. 6 Regina Red Sox will play in the All-Star Game in Okotoks Saturday Night.
